What's New

1 September 2008
A grant application to cover a portion of the costs associated with the production of Global Biodiversity Outlook Three has been prepared jointly with the World Conservation Monitoring Centre of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP-WCMC) and submitted to the European Commission. This is in line with decision IX/10, in which the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity invited Parties, other Governments and donors, to make timely financial contributions for the preparation and production of the third edition of the Global Biodiversity Outlook and its ancillary products. If the application is successful it is expected that the costs associated with the preparation of Global Biodiversity Outlook are largely covered, while support for its dissemination and implementation of the communication strategy is yet to be identified.
