The fourth national report guidelines were developed in accordance with
Decision VIII/14
. When preparing their fourth national report, Parties are requested to provide information while focussing on (a) outcomes and impacts of actions or measures taken to implement the Convention; (b) success stories and case-studies, if any (c) major obstacles encountered in implementation; and (d) actions that need to be taken to enhance implementation.
Reference Manual
This reference manual provides further, more detailed suggestions for the preparation of the fourth national report, as well as a list of materials and web links which countries could use while preparing the report.

Contributing countries may revise these sample chapters or appendices when they officially submit their fourth national reports. The sample chapters should not be considered as necessarily reflecting the views of the country concerned or the actual status of implementation of the Convention in those countries.
